I consider myself a sculptor before anything else. My approach to design is that I want to hold the viewer's attention and make them feel something. My work speaks in form. I strive to create lasting products through the craftsmanship in my work. From a young age, I was taught to work with my hands. I used to build model airplane kits with my grandfather. He taught me how to design orthographic projections at 5 years old, to design and build my first model car out of wood in his shop. He taught me a sense of pride in whatever I am doing and to see beauty in the imperfections that come from something being built by hand. Most importantly, he taught me how to tell a story with my work.
